Photo A Day – Spring. It’s Official.
I’m a little behind on posting some of my daily shots here, but there’s a good excuse. I promise. (Well, besides the weekend and Battlestar Galactica series finales to watch.) It’s officially spring! And been heading out and enjoying it as much as possible. Most photographers I know love to be outside using as much natural light as they can find. And spring is such a great season for that. Don’t get me wrong, I live in Southern California and we tend to get some pretty moderate climate all year long. But there is just something about knowing it has officially changed seasons on the calendar that puts me in a great mood. I love winter, too, and all the moody, darker photos you can get during those gloomier months. But I’m ready for some brightness. I’m ready for the obligatory flowers. I’m ready for some color. And so are these lemons. They are just about ripe in my front yard and ready for picking. And photographing, too. Of course.

I liked very much photo a day of the first week of March. Unfortunately the next photos are becoming more and more banal and uninteresting.
Sorry, this lemon looks like you know how: “At least this leamon, otherwise there will be nothing to put in blog for photo a day”.

I appreciate your opinion, Natalia. It’s not easy to take a photo that is interesting to everyone every day. I happened to really like the lemons. I liked their color. I liked the way they were paired. But we all have our own particular tastes and opinions. I’m catching up with some of my shots I took last week that I haven’t had time to post. Hope some of those catch your interest.

nice, love the desaturated colors especially considering you are shooting generally saturated subjects in soft light…. not the usual treatment but very nice.
