Photo A Day – Shamrocks
My baby woke up a little crabby from his nap yesterday so we took a trip around the yard to get some fresh air and also to scope out some good photo opportunities. I saw this lush patch of clover that I knew instantly I’d be all over with my camera later. I came back outside in the late afternoon when the clover was covered in shade to give me some softer natural light. And then of course I had to lie down in this lush green to get that shot. What a sacrifice, don’t you think? Seems like I have some serious spring fever. Anyone else with me?
I bumped up the curves in Photoshop CS2, ran a color boost action and then added a vignette and used the dodge tool on some of the center grass to draw the focus in. Nikon D40X, 50mm lens, f1.8 (for the yummy bokeh), 1/400 sec., ISO 400.
