Day 4

You know what you get when you play in the grass and talk too much about the gorgeous spring weather before it’s officially spring? A whole lotta rain the next day, is what!

I took this photo from inside my car this afternoon. The baby had fallen asleep, and I was parked and biding my time trying to decide if I should let him sleep a little longer while I got up the courage to make a mad dash into the warmth of the house. This tree looked so cool and gloomy out the window, especially as a fuzzy, almost spooky part of the background. I used my Nikon 50mm lens set to f2.0 to allow in a lot of light and make everything that was out of focus outside turn almost white and cloudlike. But since I actually do love me some rain, I love that the focus here is on the raindrops.

Still, a little rain today serves me right for being too excited about the nice weather yesterday while much of the country is still under a layer of snow!
