Year In Pictures: Timeless Black and White

YIP ~ Day 262

I just adore my son’s loving gazes. And I wanted to capture one in a timeless way. What better than a black and white conversion? I used my Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens to ensure that his eyes were sharp, but it also helped make everything else in the image soft. To add to the softness around the edges of the image and bring your focus right into the picture, I also added a vignette in Photoshop.
