Year In Pictures: Color Blocks Add Interest

YIP ~ Day 257

Sometimes just a quick trip to the park and a pop of color is all you need to brighten your day. I mentioned before that I love to make storyboards out of my photos. One reason is because I can group together a couple of photos that on their own might be average, but together make one good photo or just tell a fun story. You don’t always have to have the photos match up in size. If you’re looking for a new twist on the storyboard or diptych, just add a color block or colored border for interest. More ideas can be found here.

Hey thanks! I tried this out myself and made my own storyboard of my pumpkin patch - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3126/2883560405_b1e6cc3a55_o.jpg

Awesome, Carol! That turned out really great. I love the fall colors of your storyboard!

That’s a great idea, Amy. I’ll have to try that with some of my kids and make some desktop wallpapers. I have been using landscape photos that I have taken, but your idea seems to be more fun. I might have to make a trip to the park just to shoot my kids playing on colorful toys!

Oh, great John! Good luck. I’m sure it will turn out really fun with photos of your kids. But I bet the landscape storyboards would be really interesting, too!
