Year In Pictures: Changing Of The Seasons

YIP ~ Day 249

Saying good-bye to summer and hello to fall. Such a wonderful time of year for me. The nights are getting cooler. The air is getting crisper. Even the light seems just a little moodier. I love it.

That makes two of us. I have been enjoying the clearer evenings, the foggy mornings and can’t wait to take advantage of the changing colors! I already posted some photos of red leaves on my blog, but I’m not sure they’re a result of changing seasons so much as that’s their natural color.

Nice photo. I like busy, out of focus backgrounds. It gives visual interest to a subject that may not be very interesting on its own.

Nooooo! I’m not done with summer yet. I’m usually a fan of fall and spring, but the past few years has me feeling summers don’t last long enough. Even here in Southern California.

Oh, nice photo. ;)

I hear you John. I have been having a difficult time seeing fall come as I just don’t seem to have enough time during the summer. The last few years, winter’s arrival has left me feeling like my summer was wasted. I don’t know why.

You know, the whole time I’m in the middle of summer, I’m thinking that I wish it could hurry up and just be over already so it wasn’t so hot. I just hate the extreme heat that we get here (100+ degrees). But as soon as summer starts winding down, as it is now, I start to get all nostalgic for it. I want it to last longer so we can play outside longer and enjoy the sunshine. Grass is always greener, I guess! But I still love fall the best. :-)

Yeah, except the grass is always greener in the winter here is California! My water bill is one thing that welcomes cooler days.
