Year In Pictures: Flying at Dusk

A son learning to fly.

I took this photo at sunset, and while the colors were still pretty, they were a little hazy from the summer smog. I ended up cropping out a distracting tree and some power lines and also adding three layer masks to the image set to very low opacity: one in a very light orange, one in pink and one in blue. It gave the photo the muted sunset feeling that the sky really had that evening.
