August Third Week Contest Winner Announced!

Snake

Congratulations to yezzer for his shot “Snake,” submitted to our August Photography Contest, Getting In Close: Nature. We love this shot for its crisp focus, the big spooky eye and shiny green scales, and the unique interpretation of our contest theme, not to mention the photo’s great pop of color. Great job, yezzer!

This contest was the hardest one so far for us to choose a winner for. You guys rocked at getting up close with nature—from macro flowers and bees, to tree bark, sand and dragon flies. The great outdoors were well represented, and it was incredibly tough to pick just one. We also wanted to call attention to a couple runners up for their own unique interpretations of our contest theme this week. Way to go, anniemcq, for your beautiful Fuzzy Yellow Flower and to elbee for your hilarious grasshopper! You made us all smile.
