Princess Flower

Dragon Ladies We have a princess flower plant in our yard. The petals are a beautiful rich purple with a pink bell drop underneath. But what I was liking about the flowers today are the sickle-like stamens. I had my point-and-shoot in my pocket and switched it to macro. I took these shots holding the flower in one hand and shooting with the other, experimenting with different kinds of lighting and framing. I wish I wish I had a macro lens when the flower-shooting bug bites me, but until that day, I’ll make do with the macro on my point-and-shoot.
