We’re back home in Los Angeles now and I said goodbye to my fence. On our last night in Spokane it snowed and snowed, clobbering me over the head with the Christmas spirit. Using Flickr Toys Mosaic maker, I gave honor to my fence by making some mosaics.

The light here in Spokane has been overcast and gray for the last few days, so I haven’t felt the inspiration to shoot. But here are some more shots I took on our first day here.
The fence around my family’s house has great texture. I photographed it close to sunset and again early the next morning. The different qualities of light and color temperature really impacted how the fence translated to a photograph. What a difference the light can make.
