Just after we did the story on our “Garage Found Ringlight”, Nikonians (check them out here) tipped us off to this Ringlight adapter for the Nikon SB-800 Speedlight or Canon 580ex. Today, while doing a Medical product shoot in my studio (A.K.A. my newly cleared-out living room), I found myself needing a few more bean-bags to help counter-balance some light stands. Ring-lights are hot right now. All the fashion photogs and product photographers have fallen in love with them all over again. Lighting companies big and small are releasing new versions of these lights all the time, but they aren’t cheap. But maybe, you have one stuffed away in your garage or someplace….. The price of [...]
The title would be more appropriate if the Spyder2 actually left home. In actuality, it was buried in the back of my closet in the photography section, right next to my hardly ever used lightbox. Regardless, I feel like killing the fatted calf and celebrating the discovery. Anyone have a fatted calf I can borrow?
