Cheap Shots-Inexpensive “Ring light” part 2

Just after we did the story on our “Garage Found Ringlight“, Nikonians (check them out here) tipped us off to this Ringlight adapter for the Nikon SB-800 Speedlight or Canon 580ex.

While at 129-British Pounds (Sterling?) it isn’t exactly cheap it’s still less expensive than a similarly-sized “real” ringlight.

<>Depending on the current exchange rate, that’d either be about $260 U.S. dollars or $40,000 U.S. dollars.

Currently only available from overseas, hopefully when they bring it here we can get it cheaper (and no V.A.T.)!

Cheap? Hardly, but it’d be easier to store than a fully dedicated setup when the joy of ringlighting has faded….

About Jim Dennewill

A Southern California native, Jim Dennewell has had a fascination with photography since elementary school. Weaned on his family's old Kodak Brownie cameras (you know, the ones where everything moves backwards in the viewfinder), Jim has fostered his love for the art and tech of photography over the years. Originally known here as "Slightly Out of Focus," Jim is one of our favorite authors.
