Mossy Goodness

Moss 3 I think I’m obsessed. I seriously love this fence at my in-laws’ house. I’ve photographed it upside down and sideways. And now it’s snowing (hurray!), so I’m hoping to shoot it early in the morning covered in snow before we leave for the airport. Part of the fence is covered in this wonderful bright yellow moss or lichen or something. Moss is not my area of expertise, but the color Mossyis fantastic.

This whole week I’ve been walking around with the Nikon around my neck and my Canon Elph in my pocket. I put my 70-210mm lens on the Nikon so I could get nice long lens shots, and kept the ELPH for wide shots and macro pics.

I shot the moss with both cameras this afternoon, but got the best results from the point-and-shoot because I could get up close and personal with the macro function. Don’t you just love the color and texture? Mossy mossy goodness.
