A Change in Light

Diagonal Sunset The fence around my family’s house has great texture. I photographed it close to sunset and again early the next morning. The different qualities of light and color temperature really impacted how the fence translated to a photograph. What a difference the light can make.

Diagonal BlueI think I like the sunset version (top) better because of the different colors in the wood and the angle of the fence. But the early morning blue version has a nice frostiness. I might play with the colors of the sunrise version a little more in Photoshop when I get back home.

I love your fence shots! What a great idea! I love that you used the same subject: different light! I think I will shoot the dining room I just faux painted at different times of day. Just like your fence, it seems to glow at sunset! I’m very new to blogging. Check me out at http://
