“If it’s not in Facebook, it didn’t happen…” (Link Fixed!)
As common as Wedding-photography has gotten (can you say “Ubiquitous“?) the New York Times has this item on an increasingly popular trend of “Engagement photos”

“Paparazzi” hired to capture-the-moment when “He” pops-the-question and “She” always says “Yes!” (What? She doesn’t always say “yes“?… It doesn’t say what they do in that case, but I’m sure the photo-fees are non-negotiable)…

Reservation at La Palapa, the Mexican restaurant in the East Village where they had their first date two years earlier.
Done.
Engagement ring removed from box and tucked discreetly into pants pocket.
There.
And this: a photographer lurking at the crowded intersection of Eighth Street and Astor Place, with instructions to snap his shutter the instant Mr. Santana dropped to bended knee.
Um, yes.
“I wanted this day to be something we could tell people about,” Mr. Santana said….”

No telling when the “Wedding Night” photos will appear on Flickr…..
Who says there aren’t more and more opportunities out there for some enterprising photographers?

The funny thing is I’ve had that idea before! It would be interesting to have photos of your proposal..haha.

Well, get out there, Mike! Maybe you could become the guru of “Proposal-photography” and make big-bucks like the wedding shooters (it’d be interesting if nothing else)!
