The Best Lighting You Never Had
Every time I’m at church, I’m amazed at how good the lighting is. It’s extremely flattering and would create such wonderful portraits. But I’ll never be able to use it. Frustrating.
I’m not sure how I’d even approach recreating it. It’s a mix of sunlight, incandescent, and florescent, in odd formations and reflections. But it works.

It works well, John! When shooting weddings, baptisms, quinceneras etc., the lighting in most churches is really neat.
Many times you can get shots of the people in the pews lit by a single shaft of light beaming down on them.
Divine inspiration….

Divine inspiration is right, but I think I’d be getting some odd looks if I pull out the D70 in the middle of a prayer.

I’m sure Saint Veronica would watch out for you.
