S/M/N seeks S/F/M/C…have adptr
Anytime you’re out, surfing the ‘net, you run across ads for people looking to meet other people for LTR (Long term relationships). It’s like…”Quick!!” I only have 20-minutes, find me someone who I can spend the rest of my life with!!! Hurry!!”
I know these things often time work out, but it makes me wonder what happens when you bring that over to the Photo-World…
It’d be like: “SMN(Single-Male Nikon) seeks SFMN (Single female Nikon) for long exposure relationship (LER).
or CFMKi w/3 seeks MKES for lots of fun and excitement! This, of course, would be:” Cute Female Kodak Instamatic (with flashcubes!) seeks male Kodak Easyshare….” (Now a female easyshare would be something most men would seem to like….)
or “SFMNseeksSMN50o.k.” Single Female Nikon seeks Modest Male Nikon for fun and adventure…50mm lens is quite enough.
then you get into a little more complicated relationships like:”SMN (single-male nikon) seeks SFMC (single-female Canon)…”Have adapter (hv adptr).
or WASFMC (wide-angle, single-female Canon) seeks SkMNP&So.k. (Skinny male-Nikon, point & shoot o.k.)
Out of this, of course, somes the mixed-relationships and some of the harder ones to fit…
SFMH seeks SMHMn for LTR.. which, of couse, would be “Single female Hanimex seeks Single male Horseman for Long term relationship (Horseman…now there’s something for you women to ponder….)
SFMBLNF1seeks DmRW/SLVRCANONPwrSht which would be” Single female black leather Nikon F1 seeks Dominant relationship with Silver Canon Powershot (no whimps need apply).
MLPB seeks FMLBP(MHP!) which would be” Male Leica pure-bred seeks female Lieca Purebred (must have papers of authenticity!! no red-dots need apply)
all this monkey-business would of course, start producing ads that might not contain fully factual information like:
FMC30mm seeks MCFLTR…she, of course, says she’s only a 30mm when everyone who knows her knows she’s at least as wide as a 18mm if not a 12mm!
MPtx400MM seeks FMCT for LTP, whcih, of course is Male Pentax , 400mm (HA! EVERYONE knows he’s a 70mm at best!) seeks Female multiCoated Takumar for Long Term pleasure (good luck buddy, all the Takumars are out looking for Digital *ist cameras to try and find out how to pronounce their names!).
But, you get the idea. it’d make for some facinating ads in the back of all the Photo-magazines, and with the 1.5x enlargement-factor, would make the digital-males very popular.
I’m sure sales of lenses above 200mm would really start moving…..
