Summer Hiatus!
If you haven't noticed, Shooting the Kids has been on a little (OK, <ahem> not so little) summer break. We've been playing at the beach and eating ice cream and staying up late because, well, it's summer and that's just what you do! We're also in the middle of a house move, which is both exciting and daunting with a toddler in tow.
Needless to say, while the photos have still been happening (with a little bit of the summer slow-down to be expected), the writing has not. I've been spending a lot of time exploring the wide world of photography and have got some cool ideas up my sleeve for where Shooting the Kids might be headed. I've also been spending some time learning how to improve and enhance my photos in different ways, which I will hopefully have some time soon to share with all of you. While the photo above was my first attempt at trying to rid my daughter and little her friend of those pesky umbrella shadows from this weekend's beach trip, and although I still have a ways to go with color enhancement, I think I'm quickly becoming a fan of Pinkle Toes 4 Photographers' basic proofing action.
I'll be popping in when I can during the move and throughout the rest of the summer. I'm looking forward to a great fall season full of fun photography tips and resources to share with you all. In the meantime, happy beaching!
