Cheap Lighting – Part Two

Last week I told you how I bought a bunch of lighting equipment on the cheap and promised to tell you how I did it.  There’s an ebay seller that goes by Amvona.com.  They sell all sorts of lighting equipment, from umbrellas to backgrounds.  I was interested in a number of items and noticed there prices were pretty good.  I bid on one umbrella and won it for something like $.30.  Yes, thirty cents.  The shipping rates weren’t the best, but the total price was very nice.  I started looking through some of their old auctions and noticed they had a bunch of auctions that closed with none or one bid (with most of the auctions closing for much higher).  So in an attempt to repeat low bid win, I started placing $1 bids on a number of items I was interested in.  It took about two weeks to land all five items for a buck or two, but the price can’t be beat.  Also, if you win more than one auction, they knock $2 off the shipping charges for each additional item.  So in the end, I got all 5 items shown in last weeks post for around $50.  Score!
