Brighten Your Pictures With Photoshop

Reading Girl Sometimes a great picture can look dull dull dull. The expression might be perfect, the moment captured, but the shot looks underexposed or blah. Reading girlThat’s where Levels come in. Levels are the simplest of all Photoshop tools that can make the biggest impact on your images. I took this cute but dull picture of Chloe and turned up the lights with the levels slider.

After opening your picture in Photoshop, simply choose Image/Adjustments/Levels. Then move the right slider towards the left to brighten the highlights, and the middle slider to the left to brighten the midtones. That’s it. A quick and easy fix for a blah picture.
