Day 30: Wrapping Up With Some Wine
Day 30! Which means I’m done with the 30 Day Photo Challenge. OK, I have to confess–Day 30 was officially yesterday. I couldn’t believe it though. The day was so busy, and all of a sudden it was over before I realized I hadn’t even taken my FINAL photo. But . . . then I remembered that March has 31 days, not 30. And I figured the person who had originally thought up the “30 days of photos” concept last year (Stephanie, I think?) and put it in March must have done so intentionally to give those of us slacking at the end a day to catch up if needed. So, that’s just what I did. I used March 31st as my extra-credit day.
I decided to photograph how I wound down for the evening and, for that matter, for the 30 Day Photo Challenge. We had some fantastic barbecue and sangria with good friends on a wonderfully warm Spring evening. The wine sat there looking rich, flavorful and photogenic (for only a moment though!). I saturated the colors of this image in Gimp just a tad to give it a richer, warmer feel.
It was the perfect end to a project that really stretched me to simply be disciplined with my photography and have some fun. I hope you had a little fun with me, too.
Cheers!
(Tune in next week as Chris and I begin our adventure of researching and purchasing a fancy shmancy Digital SLR. I think I might finally join the ranks!)
