Carrie Bradshaw in the making?? I went shoe shopping at Nordstrom’s today, and the baby discovered the glory of shoes. I bought exactly nothing, but Chloe cried and cried when I took the $225 (marked down to $92) Barbie pumps away from her. She pitched such a fit, we had to leave the store for a few minutes. Shoe adict in the making?? Who knows, but when I look at this pitcture, I think, “Mummy, do these pumps go with my stroller?”

Sometimes, department stores and grocery stores will give you the old heave-ho when they see you snapping pictures, but a baby is the perfect accessory for a little fun retail photography. No one questions a woman with a big Nikon in her purse when there’s a cute baby at her side. Think how fun a great shot of a Nordstrom shoe display will look in 20 years! We’ll look either with longing at the shoes we didn’t buy, or with horror at all the nutty styles.
