Day 8: Yes, Please!

Day 8, Mmmmm..... Day 8 of the Photo a Day project.

Nothing particularly fancy about this shot because I had to take it really quickly (and from behind the drool-protection glass at that) so the shop owner wouldn’t be suspicious! I didn’t get the crisp focus I was looking for.

A couple friends at work and I drop in at this local Chocolateria every now and again for a warm and delicious cafe mocha made with wonderfully flavored handmade chocolate shavings. It’s a perfect break in the middle of a long work day.

Working with what I had to make this photo a little more interesting, I cropped and layered three different shots of the chocolates on top of each other in Photoshop, matching up the tray near the top third of the photo, then I tweaked the levels just a touch to highlight the gold a little more.

Hmm…did you catch any of that? I realize that staring at this chocolate is hypnotizing!
