I had a busy day today and didn’t get a lot of time for photos. But there was a moment when my daughter was doing a puzzle with her grandpa that I happened to capture because I now have my camera with me everywhere I go. I think sometimes with the Photo A Day project I tend to get caught up in feeling like I have to take an amazing photo every day. But then I realize that is totally not what appeals to me about this sort of project. Yes, I want to improve and take better photographs, but ultimately I want to force myself to have my camera with me so that I will capture life as it happens. Sometimes, like today, that’s what matters.

There’s nothing super interesting technically about this image (although I do like the crop). But I was happy to capture such a tender moment in the day. These moments, along with the photographically stunning ones, are what makes this project so great!
