Here is my first picture for the 30 Day Photo Challenge. I shot it with my Nikon D70s and overexposed the image 2.3 stops to get the blown-out background. I used the aperture-priority setting and a 70mm lens.

These are plastic flowers I have in a wooden vase in front of the window. They look pretty good for plastic, I think. In general, I’m not a big plastic flowers fan, but I needed something alive-looking in a spot where Chloe knocks stuff down all the time. No harm, no foul if she clobbers this vase.
