Pretty Light

Softlight 2 The light was beautiful in our living room on Sunday afternoon. It was brightly overcast outside and the light coming in through the sheers was so soft. Chloe was sitting right by the window while watching Signing Time (for the gazillion’th time) and was happily entertained. She didn’t mind my camera a bit. Shayne and I took about 100 pictures by the end of the episode.

Joy The window itself looked kind of eh in the pictures, but the light on her face looked great. By framing the shot without the window and getting close to the baby, we were able to get beautiful and intimate shots. I used my Nikon D70s and my new 50mm f/1.8 lens for these shots.

Love the shots. That 50mm is a killer lens. And so cheap to boot.
