Finding the Right Light
Finding the right light can be the key to a great picture. Here is one of my favorite tricks for photographing my daughter. In the late afternoon, a sliver of warm, raking light comes in through the window in my front door. There’s a sweet spot on the floor, and if I sit Chloe down there to play, the photos can turn out beautifully. Of course, this only works once out of every three attempts or so, and I have to keep picking her up and placing her back in the puddle of light, but the results can be great. Here is yesterday’s shot.
