Make An Animated Book Of Your Kids
Do you have a child like mine who gets so insanely excited when she sees a photo of herself you would have thought Elmo just appeared and asked her to be his best friend? Well, that is exactly how it is with my daughter. She is a narcissist to the highest degree. You think it might have something to do with a blog or two full of pictures of her? Hmm…maybe.
Needless to say, when I came across this fabulous idea for these FlipClips picture books, I knew right away who in my house would make a perfect subject for one and who, I might add, would be a pleased recipient (yes, my daugher for both).
The idea is simple, really. You just send in a short video clip that you would like to memorialize — your baby’s first steps, kids making goofy faces, the bouquet toss at your wedding — and the company sends back a cute flip book made with archival paper and ink. They come in three sizes and a multitude of cover designs, and the price is right, too — from $9-$19!
I love this, and I have to say that it’s a great brag book idea for parents. Because, really, we all know how much we love leafing through pages and pages of our own kids’ pictures, but I’m sure our friends would be abundantly thankful to be able to quickly flip through a novelty book like this and get to see your child’s energy and personality in the process!
I haven’t made one yet, but I’m positive my daughter would dig seeing herself smearing food all over the place or learning how to walk on the pages of a book like this. Perfect gift idea for grandparents, too.
Thanks, Thingamababy, for the great tip!
