Shadows and an Empty Beer
I found this shot in my files tonight. I took it a couple of years ago at Shayne’s 30th birthday party at our favorite watering hole, Lucky Baldwin in Pasadena.
It’s a still life of the aftermath of debauchery. But I like the shot because of the shadows and the amber color. It looks like a Tiffen Tobacco Filter, but it was really just the color of the light on the table combined with color shift from being under exposed. I brightened the highlights in Photoshop a bit, but the color is mostly as it occurred in camera. I shot this with plain old Kodak Max 400 ASA film and my Pentax SLR camera.
