September 19th is National Talk Like a Pirate Day! Aaaaarrrghhhh. Avast ye matey! There is loads of advice and helpful hints on how to talk like a pirate on the official website. Their site includes pirate pick-up lines such as “How’d you like to scrape the barnacles off of me rudder?” or “That’s the finest pirate booty I’ve ever laid eyes on!” They also have a Pirate Personality Test (I am The Cap’n, because I was born to “achieve greatness and some slit the throats of any scallawag who stands between me and the mantle of power”).
