Quick Tip – Tilt The Camera
So we don’t always need to have a level horizon. Sometimes a slight tilt can dramatically increase the interestingness (there’s a filckr term for you) of an otherwise just decent photo. You’ll have to play around with finding a good angle. Too much and it just appears you’ve been drinking. Too little and it looks like you were too lazy to pay attention to the horizon. I hope the photo shown here is neither!

This is actually a really useful tip–I recnently blogged about it myself (http://photoblog.fidgeting.net). It really helps put a little more interest into the photo and makes normal subjects a little more interesting!

That’s funny….it must be the engineer in me or something because I always try to get a horizontal horizon.

I’m an engineer as well and it took me a long time to get to non-horizonal horizons!
