Lounging Babies: Great for Photos!
Just a quick tip about photographing kids for today: whenever you have the chance, take pictures of your baby or toddler on kid-sized furniture. Don’t get me wrong, I love the token shots of the baby enveloped by an overly-stuffed enormous couch or recliner, but there is something just so cute about a photograph of your baby looking like a queen (or king) on her throne in a chair made just her size!
Also, don’t forget to capture those just loungin’ around times, too. There is nothing funnier than to catch a baby looking so very carefree and relaxed (and decidedly quite adult) after a hard day of playing, like the photo shown here. It’s so cute how serious my daughter is about her chill time.
Remember, it really is always about having fun. If you’re too concerned about always getting a great shot, you’ll sometimes miss the fun and random moments of unplanned lounging. So keep your camera out, even when playtime is over. Let the relaxing begin!

You guys do a great job with the baby pictures! Hard to beat kids for cute factor.
Very nice re-decorating too!

Rowland – I always laugh when my wife, who we called Red-Card because of her aggressive play in soccer, is cracking up because she found a cache of YouTube videos of babies laughing or farting or anything else that might end up on AFHV. Babies ARE trump. Got a project due that you’re late on? “Dude – I just had a baby!” Nobody can withstand the power of a baby.
Unless they’re evil.
