Tip For Quick Photos – Look Around
Sometimes I just don’t have time to haul the camera specifically for “artistic” photography. Instead, I’ve been trying to pay more attention to the things around me. For instance, we signed up my son for swimming lessons this spring. I was able to make it to a few lessons (they were in the middle of a work day) to take some snapshots. I happened to look down and saw my wife’s sandles sitting there. Sure, I took a few bazillion shots of my son swimming, and I love them, but this sandle shot was one of my favorites. Shots like these really help create a lasting memory. The best part was that it only took a few seconds to look around and snap some shots of items representative of the event.
She sure had dirty feet that day!

Ha! That is why I buy dark flip flops. It is a nice shot for sure. I’m all about taking photos of what is around me right now…

Oh, at first I thought you said they were your son’s sandals. And then you said she had dirty feet.. Haha, threw me off for a second.

Dude, John — you are SO busted when Christine reads that!
Fun shot though.

Totally busted! But I have the same exact flip flops in the same exact condition. I was thinking – hey, those are my shoes!
