Finding Photos Fast on Flickr

For my Sunday inspiration posts, I’m continually scouring the web looking for new standout photographers.  I try to highlight people that others may not know about.  I’m sure you’ve guessed that I use Flickr predominately, and therefore it makes sense I always start me search there.  There’s multiple ways to go about the search, with some being more successful than others.  Thomas Hawk (great blog by the way) has a great post today on how to find the good stuff.

  1. Use Scout to find the very best work of any photographer on Flickr
  2. View by archive
  3. Search any tag search term and then rank by interestingness.
  4. Special groups that highlight some of the best photography on Flickr.
  5. Explore itself.
  6. Favorite Diving.
  7. Photos from your contacts and friends and family.
  8. By Flickr Blogs.
  9. With Flickr Toys.
  10. And finally (whew) a little self plug for my own collection of favorites.

Per the normal “shtick”, I’m always looking to save time.  His ideas are great and I look forward to using them for further inspiration posts.

So there you go.  Finding photos fast on Flickr.  Say that 10 times quickly.
