Color of the Day: Red
There is almost nothing that says summer to me more than fresh berries! This pile of strawberries were a perfect end to my week-long color challenge and a bright burst of color on my day of red. I might not have finished this challenge on time, but I am quite proud of myself for finally completing a whole challenge (OK, so this one was really short and easy — cut me some slack, people!)
I picked out the biggest, fattest strawberries I could find for a little Father’s Day dessert project I had seen that I thought would be adorable to duplicate. Aren’t these little tuxedoed berries the cutest things you ever did see?

The tuxedos are cute but rather I’d gobble up those strawberries just after you wash the dirt from the field off them! Why wait?
Nice arrangement and lighting on the tuxedo shot, BTW.

Thanks, Stew. I placed them near a window for some great natural light — the best kind!
Also, yes, I had a very hard time not eating all the strawberries (and all the chocolate too, for that matter) while I was preparing the tuxedoes!
