Wanted: Programmers For Photography Software
So the hot news this morning is that Apple asked most of the Aperture team to leave.
Apple recently asked the engineering team behind its Aperture photo editing and management software to leave, Think Secret has learned. The move, which resulted in the departure of several engineers while others were transferred to different projects inside Apple, raises questions about the future of Aperture, Apple’s most heavily criticized and bug-ridden software release in recent years.
I’m not an Apple user anymore (sold my Mac Mini) but have been following Aperture as it’s a photographic tool. I became more insterested in it after Boot Camp was annouced, which would allow me to run both OS X and XP. This news brings some questions as to the future of the software. Like I said, I’m not a user right now, but I’m always pro-competition. It’s good for us photographers. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see on this.

It’ll be intersting to continue following the Adobe-Apple battles (fighting? Us?), I’m sure these are just more casulties.
So, John, you gonna tell us about your absynthe experience?

I don’t like it. I’ll leave it at that.

John,
You meant “Boot Camp†not Base Camp.
My opinions on the issue.

My fault. Yes, I did mean Boot Camp. BaseCamp is what we use to manage the site administration. Thanks Terry. It’s fixed.
