You Thought 30 Photos Was Tough?
I was feeling all macho and manly after completing the 30 Day Photo Challenge without missing a day. But then I found Karen Nichols. Not only did she do it a whole year straight, but her photos rock as well.
I highly recommend adopting this challenge as a way to instill discipline in your photography. View it as a journey, not a destination. Don’t beat yourself up, just take your camera with you wherever you go and shoot!
Wow. 365 days of straight shooting. That’s some serious stamina there. I’d like to think I could do it for a year, but I’m pretty sure I’d miss a day sooner or later. I mean, how many shots of my foot could I take?
However, the 30 Day Photo Challenge has inspired me to be a more active photographer. I’m finding myself becoming more aware of photographic opportunities when I’m not in “photography mode.” I’m even finding it easier to remember to bring the camera along.
So, who’s up for a year? (Nobody, I hope.)

The hard part was the “just one more shot” part. That always made me stay up and hour or two more than I expected. When do we start?

I found myself towards the end skipping a couple of days and then “catching up.” My day life job demanded acttention though I think I could have minimized the ammount of days I would have been “out of touch.”
