I love my Samsung 710N monitor. It’s a good 17-incher. Sure it’s not a Dell 2100FP but it does the job. As you may know, I really really really like calibrated monitors. Even at work, where I don’t need perfect color, I calibrate. Maybe it’s a little OCD, but it sure bugs me when it’s not calibrated.

So it annoys me to no end that Samsung put the Auto button right next to the Power button. ARGHGG!!!! What makes it even worse, is the buttons are low profile. Sure, this makes it look good, but you can’t freakin tell what button you’re pressing. Who’s the brilliant designer behind this? Didn’t they not know that button is pure evil to us calibrators?

This blog is all about finding time to take photos. So you know it’s difficult for me when I have to waste time like this. And being a calibration snob, I just can’t leave it that way. I need a new monitor.
