There are two ways to make digital black & white images. The first is to use the settings on your digital camera. The second is to use Photoshop to desaturate your image. There are benefits and drawbacks to both techniques and they are equally easy.

So, I was watching the luge competition the other night. As I have no particular interest in the luge, I decided to count the cameras NBC used to cover this one event. It varied from luger to luger but the high count was 30 separate camera angles for one ride down the course. [...]
