Picture of the Day 4 – Fiery Tulip
My friend Robyn sent me tulips for my birthday. I like the fieriness of this one and set out to take some macro photographs. I put the flower arrangement by my giant livingroom window. It was bright overcast with sheers covering the window. Because I had to get so close to the flowers, my body blocked some of the light so I held my large bounce card overhead to pump some light into the flower. I set my Canon PowerShot digital camera to Auto and clicked 20 or so pictures. I liked this one best because of the contrasty petals and the little pop of green.
