This month’s Smithsonian Magazine has a good article written by Ronald E.Ostman and Harry Littell about a woman (Lois Barden) who found a crate of old-glass plate photos (Cir. 1900) in a toolshed. They turn out to be from a Photographer (William T. Clarke) and a Place that are no longer with us. The article is called “Forgotten Forest” and is a good read about lost photos and photographers. Makes you want to make sure you back up all your pictures!
